Mobility Assistance Dog Reimbursement Program

Reimbursement of costs

Six months after the mobility assistance dog is acquired, eligible individuals receive a reimbursement of $210. This amount covers the various purchases and arrangements made to accommodate the dog. You may request a reimbursement each time you replace your mobility assistance dog − a maximum of once every 2 years.

Eligible individuals also receive an annual reimbursement of $1,028, in 2 instalments. This reimbursement covers a part of the expenses related to the dog’s care, including food, grooming and veterinary care.

Reimbursements may be stopped if you, or your dog, no longer meet the program eligibility criteria.
